Equity Research Analyst

The Equity Research Analyst will conduct in-depth research and analysis on target equities, with a focus on the midcap and junior mining sector. Responsibilities include financial modeling, investment analysis, and preparing detailed research reports. This is a full-time role based in Toronto, ON, with some work-from-home flexibility.

Required Background:

  • 5-10+ years of previous experience within an equity research or investment banking environment, covering the metals & mining sector

  • Strong Analytical Skills and the ability to interpret complex datasets and market trends

  • Proficiency in Financial Modeling and experience with valuation techniques

  • Proven ability to conduct comprehensive research and gather relevant financial and market data

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment. Periodic travel throughout North America and Europe will be required.

  • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail

  • Previous experience in the mining or natural resources sector

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field preferred

Trade Compliance Officer

The Trade Compliance Officer is responsible for day-to-day trade compliance activities of for all business lines of HoldCo Markets. This includes daily and monthly trade surveillance reviews, oversight with onboarding new clients document preparation, liaising with legal counsel, daily trading trend analysis and communication monitoring in accordance with regulatory requirements established by Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO), and the provincial Securities Commissions. This is a full-time role based in Toronto, ON, with some work-from-home flexibility.

Required Background

  • 3 - 5 years industry work experience with a minimum of 3 years in a specialized role

  • Knowledge and understanding of the capital markets industry and the related legislative and regulatory framework

  • Successful completion of the Investment Dealer Supervisor Course and the requisite courses for registration as a Supervisor are required.

  • Completion of the Options Supervisor Course and the Canadian Commodities Supervisor Course are preferred

  • CIRO - Registration as a supervisor as equity or options or willing to take it for futures

  • Curious mindset and desire to find solutions to improve business functions and process efficiencies

  • Excellent Analytical/investigative skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective presentation skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.

  • Fluent communication skills in English is required, bilingual skills in French would be considered an asset
